What will Africa be like in 2410?

In his play, "Eternal Forever", Kenyan playwright John Rugoiyo Gichuki has a vision of a "United States of Africa [in 2410] where people drive around in cars that are operated by magnetic levitation and the 'tazer' transports people into a secret parallel world." The play is this years winner of BBC African Performance Season.

It may seem a little more than far fetched to discuss what an entire continent will be like in roughly 400 years from now. But that is exactly what BBC News asked its readers recently with reference to Mr. Gichuki's award winning play. The answers BBC News recieved after asking their readers to, among other things, "Take us to 2410 and feel free to reveal all your science fiction fantasies" are quite interesting in some cases, utterly depressing in others and a bit hopeful in a few.
