Losing a child
No parent should have to live longer than his or her children. As a parent I very seldom think about the unthinkable. It's to painful, and why should I? It doesn't lead to anything. Or?
I came upon a captivating article in BBC News the other day. The writer has, as he puts it, become a member of a club he doesn't want to be a member of. His story is heart aching but wonderfully written. He describes his bottomless sorrow, a tsunami of grief. His infinite grief remind me of the greatest gift of all and that I should cherish every day that I coexist with those wonderful beings that are a part of me. Individuals that wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me and their mother. I hope that I will be able to think about this every time when I feel that my little darlings are absolutely annoying, everytime when I'm tired and fed up. I hope that I will be able to fully appreciate them as they undoubtadly deserve to be appreciated.
